After acquiring the five-building site three years ago, Aucta Pharmaceuticals has opened doors at its new headquarters in Basking Ridge.
The Kislak Co. Inc. announced the debut at 170 Mount Airy Road Sept. 11.
The Woodbridge-based commercial real estate brokerage previously assisted Aucta in the $4.6 million acquisition of the 52,000-square-foot office property. According to Kislak, that deal marked the second successful collaboration Executive Vice President Peter Wisniewski completed on behalf of the client.
A technology-driven pharmaceutical company, Aucta specializes in the development and commercialization of branded specialty products.
At the time of the property purchase, seller representative Brian Cass, director of brokerage services at Chatham-based The Garibaldi Group, said the asset drew interest from “an incredibly wide array of buyers.” He attributed that demand to a lack of fully vacant buildings available for purchase, as opposed to lease, in this particular size range.
A formal grand opening for 170 Mount Airy Road is set for Sept. 22 at 2 p.m., followed by a celebratory BBQ dinner from 3–6 p.m. Kislak said it and the tenant invited local officials along with congressional representatives.
“Kislak is proud to represent Aucta Pharmaceuticals and honored to continue supporting their growth and commitment to the Bernards Township community,” said Wisniewski.
“This new headquarters marks an important milestone for Aucta as they expand their operations and deepen their investment in the region,” added Kislak Associate Sara Soliman.
In addition to New Jersey, Aucta also has operations in Shanghai, China. In Somerset County, it is one of several companies that helps collectively employ more than 15,000 individuals within the local life sciences industry.
