Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is rolling out three more locations across New Jersey.
After a planned opening Sept. 19 at Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, the Japan-based chain aims to add outposts at Mercer on One in Lawrenceville and at The District at 15Fifteen in Parsippany, according to its website.
A Kura spokesperson told NJBIZ the Lawrenceville site will open between mid-October and early November and Parsippany will open by May 2026.
Founded 48 years ago, Kura offers affordable, authentic Japanese dishes made with premium ingredients. Its menu of more than 140 dishes incudes sushi, noodles, tempura, sides and desserts that are free of artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives and colorings.

Kura bills itself as a leading technology-enabled restaurant concept. At each location, a revolving sushi bar circulates through the restaurant with various sushi offerings. Diners can also order from tablets at each booth or counter spaces. Once prepared, items are sent zipping down an express conveyer belt directly to tables.
Additionally, patrons can have their drink orders delivered tableside by one of Kura Sushi’s newest technologies, a robot named Kur-B.
Globally, the chain has more than 600 sites. Since entering the U.S. in 2008, the brand has grown to 81 locations.
After making its New Jersey debut five years ago in Fort Lee, Kura has launched restaurants in Jersey City, Edison, Cherry Hill and Paramus.
