Now in its third year, the Empowering Women – Companies Leading the Way awards recognize New Jersey-based organizations for their tangible and innovative efforts to advance women in business and in the community.
To be eligible, companies must be headquartered in New Jersey or have a physical office in state with a minimum of 50 employees.
Following an open nomination process, an independent panel of judges chose honorees based on their commitment to efforts such as:
- Having a track record of recruiting, hiring and promoting women
- Offering a mentoring program for women
- Working toward systemic change in society to combat inequality
- Contributing to philanthropic or community endeavors that advance the cause of women
All the organizations will be honored Nov. 18 during a celebration at The Marigold in Somerset as well as in a future edition of NJBIZ. Tickets to the gala are now available on the event page.
