Two Cranford siblings are urging New Jersey lawmakers to lower the legal age for obtaining restraining orders to 15, following a tragic incident that shook their community and exposed what they say is a dangerous gap in protections for minors.
Cooper Groll, 16, and Charlotte Groll, 14, launched a petition on Change.org after learning that minors in New Jersey cannot independently seek restraining orders—even in cases of stalking or harassment.
