Located at 385 Route 3 in Clifton, Uncharted aims to bring a fresh, immersive shopping experience that blends top brands with interactive moments.
The store features a curated, rotating selection of products across fashion, jewelry, home décor, spa, beauty, toys and candy. The 9,000-square-foot outpost will also offer a variety of experiential elements to engage shoppers, such as a pick & mix candy cart with Swedish treats, an engraving machine to personalize water bottles, ear piercing and an Italian charm bracelet customization bar.
To celebrate its arrival at Clifton Commons, Uncharted will host a grand opening event Oct. 18–19. The celebration will include gift card giveaways to the first 100 guests starting at 9 a.m. Plus, customers can enter to win a $200 gift card to Uncharted, get their water bottles engraved for free, or take advantage of complimentary hair clip and styling with purchases.
Founded in 1964, The Paper Store‘s footprint comprises 100-plus locations. It includes stores in Paramus, Succasunna, Ramsey, Wayne, East Hanover, Pompton Lakes and Parsippany.
After unveiling its first Uncharted store last fall, The Paper Store has launched additional six locations so far. The company aims to invest $60 million over the next five years on new and existing stores as it continues expanding into new markets, according to Chain Store Age.
Evolving the customer experience
Commenting on the conversion of the space in Clifton from The Paper Store to Uncharted, parent company TPS Holdings CEO Tom Anderson said the company is “incredibly excited” to introduce the concept to New Jersey.
“The Paper Store has been a beloved destination here for years, and we’re introducing Uncharted to evolve the retail experience for the community, providing them with creative ways to customize their shopping experience and explore their favorite brands or discover new ones,” he said.
At Clifton Commons, Uncharted is part of a tenant mix that also includes:
