Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz PC is setting down roots in New Jersey.
After launching locally based practices in health care transactions, litigation and real estate last April, the national law firm’s team moved into a permanent office in Princeton.
In a Nov. 3 press release, Baker Donelson announced the official opening of its new, 11,000-square-foot home at 281 Witherspoon St. Along with space for 23 team members, the location features large collaboration areas and is able to accommodate further growth for the firm, the release said.
Until this week, the group worked out of a temporary site at 4365 Route 1 in Princeton, according to a spokesperson.

Additionally, by September 2026, Baker Donelson expects to move its newly established Iselin team from an interim office at 186 Wood Ave. to a permanent one at 111 Wood Ave., the media representative added.
All 26 of the lawyers who joined Baker Donelson earlier this year previously worked at Epstein Becker & Green PC, a national law firm focused on health care, labor & employment and litigation.
Poised for growth
Headquartered in Nashville, Baker Donelson has more than 700 attorneys and public policy advisors across 20-plus offices representing over 30 practice areas. Baker Donelson’s expansion in recent years has also included new locations in Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C., in addition to Charleston, S.C.
The firm has said it believes entering New Jersey will grow its practice, as well as deepen its experience in a number of areas in health law, such as private equity transactions and payor-provider litigation.
In Princeton, the crew includes nationally recognized litigators and leading real estate attorneys. The majority of health law associates and shareholders work in Iselin. Managing shareholder Anjana Patel leads both offices.
“In choosing our permanent Princeton home, we wanted a space that was appealing for our clients and our people, and that also gave us the capacity to expand our team here,” she said. “We have a strong foundation in Princeton, with exceptional talent like Anthony Argiropoulos, who is a go-to litigator for clients across the country facing complex litigation, and Andrew Kaplan, a highly regarded transactional attorney in real estate, secured lending, and corporate matters. Their leadership and this new location position us well for continued growth and success in this market.”
