Interstate Waste Services Inc. is growing its presence further in New Jersey.
In a Nov. 3 press release, the Teaneck-based hauler announced its acquisition of Plainfield-headquartered Grand Sanitation Service Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1998, Grand Sanitation’s territory includes residential and commercial customers across Middlesex, Morris, Somerset and Union counties. Along with collection services, the company offers roll-off and cleanup solutions.
As part of the agreement, IWS will integrate Grand Sanitation’s full-service offerings, employees and fleet of more than 50 vehicles into its operations, the press release said.
The deal follows a series of strategic acquisitions by IWS over the past year-and-a-half, including:
In a statement, IWS founder and CEO Mike DiBella said, “We’re proud to welcome Grand Sanitation to the IWS family. This acquisition reflects our commitment to combining strong local roots with industry-leading capabilities to better support the markets we serve. Together, we’re building on a shared foundation of reliability, integrity and customer-first values to deliver the best service.”
Grand Sanitation owner and president Rich Golinello described it as “an exciting new chapter” for the independent hauler.
“We’ve always taken pride in serving our community with dedication and care, and I’m confident that IWS will carry that legacy forward. I look forward to seeing how this partnership enhances the service experience for our loyal customers,” he said.
