The 2025 NJSIAA/Xfinity Football State Championships kicked off last week with action in all five public-school groups and will continue this weekend with sectional semifinals throughout the state.

There were a handful of upsets as the public schools played their quarterfinal rounds, while a host of top seeds took care of business and advanced. Sectional champions will be crowned soon, with state champions determined for the fourth time in a few weeks.
