Phil Murphy passed one of his batons to his successor last night, introducing Mikie Sherrill to the chief executive officers of some of the state’s largest corporations during a private meeting and dinner at Drumthwacket.
Murphy has met with the state’s top business leaders on a semi-regular basis since he became governor in 2018.
CEOs of Johnson and Johnson, Becton Dickinson, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Campbell’s, Hackensack Meridian Health, Kenvue, PSEG, RWJ Barnabas Health, and Verizon were among the companies at the dinner with the governor and governor-elect.
These New Jersey-based companies have roughly 475,000 employees combined and an estimated worth of nearly $900 billion.
