The basics:
- Norcross appointed as new president of Greater Atlantic City Chamber
- Brings 13+ years of executive experience in chamber leadership
- Former CEO of Greater Toms River Chamber, grew membership 20%
- Chamber to host ‘Building Our Future Together’ networking event Dec. 16
The Greater Atlantic City Chamber Board of Directors appointed Danielle Norcross as its new president.
The organization says the appointment ushers in a new chapter of regional business advocacy, engagement and evolution for the group. As NJBIZ has reported, former President Michael Chait resigned from the position in May. He later became the public information officer for the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA).
Since that time, Jane Asselta has served as leadership consultant during the transition.
Norcross brings more than 13 years of executive experience in chamber management, strategic planning and organizational transformation. She most recently served as chief strategy officer for a national association management firm, and previously served as CEO of the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce, where she grew membership by 20% and deepened regional partnerships.
“Danielle’s track record of building member value, aligning strategy to measurable outcomes, and elevating the public voice of business is exactly what this moment calls for,” said Board Chair Barbara DeMarco. “She brings the energy, credibility, and collaborative approach needed to be a champion for all of Atlantic County’s employers – from entrepreneurs to legacy industries – and ensure that the Chamber is out in front on the issues that truly matter.”
Norcross says she is thrilled to join the Chamber at such a pivotal moment.
“Atlantic County’s business community is expanding, diversifying, and adapting, and the Chamber must evolve in step,” said Norcross. “I look forward to partnering with our members, board, and regional leaders to ensure the Chamber is a strong, strategic, and influential voice for business.”

“Chambers are at their best when they are relevant, responsive, and representative,” she said. “Our work ahead is about continuing to build an institution that not only serves its members but speaks for them.”
The Chamber extended a special thanks and its gratitude for Asselta’s efforts.
“Asselta played a pivotal role in helping to ensure our operations continued seamlessly, while also guiding our search for new leadership,” said DeMarco. “We are eternally grateful for her time and service to our organization, and I know that she will remain a pivotal part of our organization’s history and transformative growth in the years to come.”
Asselta noted she was “pleased to support the Chamber during this pivotal transition period.”
“I have dedicated my career to public advocacy, economic development and building partnerships across the Southern New Jersey region, and I hope my experience and expertise helped maintain the Chamber’s positive momentum while also looking to the future,” said Asselta.
To formally welcome Norcross and kick off the next phase of member engagement, the Chamber will host the “Building Our Future Together Networking Event” Dec. 16, with additional details forthcoming on its website.
