Several companies based in New Jersey have earned spots on two of Forbes‘ most respected lists.
Most Trusted Companies in America
To determine its second annual list of the 300 Most Trusted Companies, the publication analyzed 2,000 public and private businesses across dozens of metrics, such as financial performance, consumer trust, employee ratings and media treatment. In order to be eligible for consideration, companies must have at least 10,000 employees, Forbes said.
According to the ranking, the top three companies are Silicon Valley-based tech company Nvidia, Seattle e-commerce giant Amazon and Los Angeles-headquartered entertainment company Netflix.

- No. 190: PSE&G Newark
- No. 220: Quest Diagnostics Secaucus
- No. 249: Cognizant Teaneck
- No. 259: Merck & Co. Rahway
Several firms with a local presence were also recognized in the top 25, including Chick-fil-A (No. 6), Bank of America (No. 8), Nordstrom (No. 15), JPMorgan Chase (No. 16), Costco Wholesale (No. 17), Trader Joe’s (No. 18), Wegmans Food Markets (No. 20) and Wawa (No. 25).
America’s Best Companies
The America’s Best Companies list highlights organizations that excel in employee satisfaction, customer experience, company leadership, sustainability, cybersecurity and financial strength. To produce the ranking of 500 honorees, nearly 1,500 firms were evaluated based on more than 60 measures across 11 categories, Forbes said.
