The New York Jets announced a new long-term partnership Nov. 20 with Metabilia, a Morristown-headquartered memorabilia company.
As part of the collaboration, the Jets will launch Jets Bids. The official marketplace will host game-used and exclusive memorabilia.
Jets Bids will feature items such as jerseys fresh off the field to signed footballs and other one-of-a-kind collectibles. The feature is available on the Jets Mobile App and at NewYorkJets.com/JetsBids.
Following each match-up, the marketplace will post authentic game-worn items in real-time auctions. On gamedays, Metabilia will also have a presence at MetLife Stadium, with exclusive memorabilia for sale, promotions and experiences.
“Through this innovative partnership with Metabilia, fans will have the opportunity to own part of the action, keeping the spirit of gameday alive well beyond their visit to MetLife Stadium,” said Jeff Fernandez, Jets senior vice president of business development.
Authenticity guaranteed
Metabilia features a cutting-edge process using advanced diamond dust technology. The system uniquely verifies each item, which is permanently traceable and protected against counterfeiting. Thus, Metabilia guarantees the authenticity of every collectible.
“Metabilia’s state of the art diamond dust technology is a true game changer and will give Jets fans piece of mind when bidding on and purchasing exclusive memorabilia they previously have not had access to,” said Fernandez.
Joseph De Perio, managing partner of Metabilia, said partnering with the Jets and launching Jets Bids is an incredible opportunity to connect fans with their team in a way that’s never been done before.
“Whether it’s a jersey worn on game day or exclusive signed memorabilia, Jets fans everywhere can now take home their own piece of the game,” said De Perio.
