Police in Monmouth County are searching for a man they believe is responsible for the theft of Christmas decorations.

The Neptune City Police Department posted on social media on Thursday, sharing photos of the suspect and asking for the public’s assistance.
“The Neptune City Police Department is actively attempting to identify the pictured subject, involved in the theft of Christmas decorations,” the post said. “No, we don’t believe his real name is The Grinch.”
The department did not specify the items stolen. A police spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Neptune City Police Department is asking anyone who can identify the suspect to call Detective James VanEtten at 732-455-0117.
