PRINCETON — There is nothing Fadima Tall can’t do for the Princeton women’s basketball team.
The do-it-all junior forward scored a career-best 28 points and the Tigers made yet another statement by pulling away from in-state rival Rutgers for an 81-63 victory on Wednesday night at Jadwin Gymnasium.
Tall finished 7-of-14 from the floor, knocked down a quartet of 3-pointers and added four rebounds, three assists and five steals in a stat-sheet stuffing performance.
Princeton (10-1), which was one spot outside the Associated Press top 25 this week, won its eighth straight game and beat the Scarlet Knights (7-4) for the fourth consecutive time. Carla Berube’s club has two wins over the Big Ten, three over the Big East and one over the ACC among power-conference opponents.
Ashley Chea and Olivia Hutcherson netted 16 points each for the Tigers, who outscored the Scarlet Knights, 30-19, in the fourth quarter to break open what had been a close game for 30 minutes.
Nene Ndiaye led Rutgers with 20 points.
