Wendy’s is marking the launch of a brand-new restaurant in South Jersey by giving away a year’s worth of food.
As part of the Jan. 10 festivities at the fast-food chain’s location in Absecon, the first 100 guests lined up for the 10:30 a.m. opening will receive a card to redeem one free sandwich, salad or breakfast item per week for one year, according to franchisee Flynn Group LP.
The offer is valid only at the Absecon restaurant and cannot be combined with any other coupons, promotions or discounts. Winners must be 16 or older, Flynn noted.
Located at 430 White Horse Pike, the 24-hour outpost officially began serving guests Dec. 13, 2025, the franchisee said.
NJ.com noted that the site was previously home to an old firehouse. After proposals for both Royal Farms and Wawa stores fell through, the property has remained vacant, the report said.
It is also adjacent to a Chipotle Mexican Grill that opened in June 2024.
Modern layout
Along with a drive-thru window, the 2,187-square-foot Wendy’s features a fresh, modern layout that includes open, bright dining areas with multiple seating options, as well as a Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage dispenser that allows customers to customize drink choices.

Flynn Vice President of Marketing Jerrod Mitchell said the group is excited to continue growing in New Jersey.
“This new location reflects our commitment to delivering great food, friendly service, and meaningful job opportunities to the communities we serve. We’re proud to join the Absecon community and welcome guests from across the area,” Mitchell said.
Flynn projects the renovated restaurant will add 45 jobs to the local economy. Available positions include crew members, shift leaders, assistant managers and general managers.
Of the 147 Wendy’s locations across New Jersey, Flynn runs about five dozen sites. That also includes recently renovated Wendy’s restaurants in nearby Thorofare, Egg Harbor Township, Somers Point and Manahawkin.
Founded in 1999, San Francisco-headquartered Flynn owns and operates 2,600 consumer-facing businesses. Its portfolio includes brands such as Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar, Arby’s, Taco Bell, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s, and Planet Fitness in the U.S. and Australia.
After Starbucks and Chipotle, Flynn is the world’s largest operator of restaurants. It generates $5 billion in sales and employs more than 75,000 workers.
