Dominic Moushon recorded five points, and Dylan Swon added four as North Hunterdon-Voorhees defeated Hillsborough 5-2 in Annandale.
Moushon finished with one goal and four assists for North Hunterdon (8-4-1), while Swon scored twice and added two assists. Both of Swon’s goals came shorthanded, and Moushon also found the net while his team was down a skater.
North Hunterdon scored once in the first period before Hillsborough (7-5-1) responded with two goals in the second to take a brief lead. North Hunterdon answered with a power play goal in the second period, then added three unanswered goals in the third period to secure the victory.
Adrian Peterson and Zach Cheung each contributed a goal and an assist for North Hunterdon. Peterson’s goal came on the power play in the second period.
North Hunterdon’s penalty kill was effective throughout the game, killing off five of Hillsborough’s power play opportunities. The team also converted on its lone power play chance.
Goalie Logan Konstalid made 25 saves on 27 shots for North Hunterdon.
James Bason and Advit Agarwal each scored a goal in the second period for Hillsborough. Bason was assisted by Mihir Raizada, while Agarwal received helpers from Brody Horner and Colin Marley.
Danny Lernerman made 22 saves in the loss.
