A’son Young delivered a triple-double with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals to lead Keansburg to a 48-41 victory over Long Branch in Long Branch.
Keansburg (8-5) extended its winning streak to three games despite trailing 15-9 after the first quarter. I’shon Young contributed 17 points and seven rebounds to the winning effort.
Long Branch (4-11) started strong but faltered in the second half, particularly in the fourth quarter when they were outscored 16-6. Nathan Posoa led the Green Wave with 12 points.
The Titans turned the game around in the second quarter, outscoring Long Branch 14-12 to cut the deficit to 27-23 at halftime. Keansburg continued its momentum in the second half, winning the third quarter 9-8 before pulling away in the final period.
Jaivon Thomas-Conklin added 10 rebounds for Keansburg, while Taurian Black contributed seven points and seven rebounds. Milan Mraz provided a defensive spark with four steals.
The Titans’ defense proved to be the difference, recording 18 steals as a team.
