Choose New Jersey announced a new partnership with BDV Solutions to launch a first-in-the-nation Relocation Concierge Service. The collaboration aims to help domestic and international companies establish operations in the state. Additionally, it will help employees navigate relocation and integration into the Garden State workforce.
The program is designed to ease the relocation process for senior leaders, international hires and their families. It will provide tailored, hands-on support as companies expand in the state.
The concierge service will assist with a wide range of relocation needs. Services will included guidance on housing and schools, opening bank accounts, obtaining Social Security numbers and more. It will not provide direct visa or immigration advice.
The Relocation Concierge Service will customize to each company’s needs. Choose New Jersey says expects it to strengthen talent attraction and retention. In particular, it highlighted high-growth sectors such as life sciences, technology and logistics.
“This program demonstrates how Choose New Jersey leverages partnerships to deliver real solutions for businesses,” said Tim Crouch, chief strategy officer, Choose New Jersey. “By helping companies onboard international employees seamlessly and relocate executives and their families from other states to New Jersey, we are supporting New Jersey companies as they create new jobs, grow, and strengthen the state’s competitive edge.”
Removing friction
Greenville, S.C.-based BDV Solutions will manage the concierge service, including candidate onboarding, international talent support and coordination with Choose New Jersey’s international offices.
“By providing a dedicated concierge service, we can remove friction for companies and employees, helping New Jersey continue to attract the best global talent,” said Chris Richardson, president and general counsel, BDV Solutions.
The initiative will operate in close collaboration with Choose New Jersey’s Newark headquarters, its international offices and local partners statewide.
Phase one of the effort is already underway, with the hiring of Deepa Balhara. The New Jersey-based consultant will oversee operations and support the rollout in partnership with local businesses and community stakeholders.
Jen Lenhardt, interim president and CEO of Choose New Jersey, said, “This initiative combines our local expertise with BDV Solutions’ proven capabilities to make New Jersey the easiest place for global talent to succeed.”
