About a year after well-known real estate and commercial transactions attorney Philip McGovern Jr. departed Roseland-based Connell Foley LLP for Tanenbaum Keale LLP, 10 former colleagues have followed in his footsteps.
The Newark-headquartered boutique firm announced the additions in January. Tanenbaum Keale said the five partners, four associates and one special counsel will strengthen its national trial and litigation platform.
According to the firm, Catherine Bryan, William Deveau, Jeffrey O’Hara, Samuel Quatromoni and Abigail Rossman join as partners.
Meanwhile, Tanenbaum Keale named Joseph Appio, Mackenzie Boyer, Rebecca Ellis and Christina Scarbino as associates. Zachary Nastro joins as special counsel.
In a statement, McGovern said the arrivals reflect the firm’s long-term vision.
“We are intentional about adding lawyers who elevate the firm – as advocates, as colleagues, and as leaders,” the managing partner said. “Katie, Will, Abby, Jeff, Sam and Zach do exactly that. Their expertise has long been sought by Fortune 100 companies, and we look forward to continuing to serve these clients.”
The new Tanenbaum Keale team
Tanenbaum Keale Chair James Keale described the team as “proven trial lawyers who have spent their careers in the courtroom.”
“Each of them brings judgment earned through experience, credibility earned through results, and a client-first mindset that fits seamlessly with who we are and how we practice,” he said.
Keale, Michael Tanenbaum and Thomas Roberston founded Tanenbaum Keale in 2017. The firm serves as national, regional and local counsel to clients of all sizes across a wide range of industries.
Its attorneys handle matters spanning product liability and catastrophic injury to environmental and toxic tort litigation. The team has appeared in state and federal courts in virtually every state nationwide. It represents clients from inception through trial and appeal.
In addition to Newark, the firm maintains offices in New York City, Richmond and Naples, Fla.
“Tanenbaum Keale’s culture of collegiality and entrepreneurial spirit represent the precise qualities our team values most,” O’Hara said, commenting on his new role. “We are pleased to join so many longtime friends and now colleagues at the firm and look forward to introducing our clients to our new team at Tanenbaum Keale.”
