Federal Donuts & Chicken is gearing up to add additional locations in New Jersey.
After franchisees Mark Heinz and Debbie Grady unveiled their first shop last year at Marlton Square in Marlton, the partners are preparing to bring the fast-casual concept to MarketFair in Princeton soon.
A grand opening date has not yet been announced.
The pair expects to open two more locations as part of their four-unit deal with Federal Donuts & Chicken, too. Additional details on when or where were not immediately available.
An outpost is due this spring to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. Federal Donuts & Chicken is among the new dining concepts joining the property as part of a $50 million renovation underway.
A Federal Donuts & Chicken spokesperson said a separate franchisee is opening the Atlantic City location.
Founded in 2011 by a team that includes James Beard Award-winning restauranteurs Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook, Federal Donuts & Chicken strives to offer best-in-class, hand-crafted doughnuts, crispy fried chicken and coffee.
The brand’s spiced cake doughnuts come prepared “fancy” (glazed & topped in creative flavors), “classic” (old-fashioned milk glazes) or “hot fresh” (made-to-order and tossed in custom sugar & spice blends). Its hand-battered, twice-fried chicken comes as tenders and wings with house-made dipping sauces or dry seasonings. There’s also fried chicken salads and fried chicken sandwiches.
Since launching a franchising program in 2024, Federal Donuts & Chicken has grown to 12 locations.
