A driver was drunk when she hit and injured two boys and their mother as they were leaving a preschool in Freehold Township on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Angela F. Arrigo, 68, of Manalapan, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and assault by auto, Freehold Township police said.
She was also issued a summons for driving while intoxicated after the crash at Bloom Academy on Pond Road around 3 p.m., police said.
Arrigo was also issued numerous tickets, including for reckless driving, careless driving, speeding across a sidewalk, failure to secure a chid in a child seat and having no insurance card, according to municipal court records.
She is due in municipal court March 4.
Video shared with News 12 New Jersey shows an SUV slamming into the front of the business, clipping one of the children and knocking the boy, his younger brother and mother to the ground.
Police told NJ.com all three were treated and released from an area hospital.
Bloom Academy didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment but told the news station it was saddened by the incident and grateful the injuries weren’t more serious.
