James Porter scored 17 points and added six steals to lead Weequahic past Nutley, 59-51, in Newark.
Avery Cherilus-Rogers contributed 15 points, knocking down three 3-pointers, while also recording five steals. Ekaou Harris added 12 points on three 3-pointers and finished with four rebounds and three assists.
Haleem Sharif pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with six points and five blocks. Jazmir Mack rounded out the key contributors with five points, six rebounds, four assists and three blocks.
Weequahic outscored Nutley 19-6 in the second quarter to take control of the game after trailing 15-14 following the first.
Nutley (17-9) responded with an 18-point third quarter to cut into the deficit, as Weequahic held on down the stretch to secure the win.
