A new café concept rooted in Albanian tradition is coming soon to Bergen County.
Sofra Café is preparing to open at 631 Anderson Avenue, introducing what it describes as “Albanian coffee & traditional bites” in a cozy, old-world setting.
Branding for the space features the phrase “Bukë, Kripë, Zemër”—which translates to “Bread, Salt, Heart”—a traditional Albanian expression symbolizing hospitality and warmth.
The concept appears centered around classic coffee service paired with house-made specialties and traditional light fare.
Social media teasers highlight a welcoming café atmosphere, suggesting a neighborhood spot designed for lingering over coffee and connecting with friends and family. Hiring notices indicate the team is building out staff ahead of launch.
An official opening date has not yet been announced.
