Chipotle Mexican Grill has added another outpost in South Jersey.
Located at 65 S. White Horse Pike in Hammonton, the popular fast-casual chain began serving its customizable burritos, tacos, salads and bowls Dec. 3.
Founded in 1993, the Newport Beach, Calif.-based concept’s nationwide footprint of 3,800 restaurants includes 109 New Jersey locations.
Hammonton is among the latest Chipotle stores in New Jersey to feature the brand’s signature drive-thru lane that allows customers to pick up digital orders from their cars.
After debuting its “Chipotlane” in 2018, Chipotle has added it to more than 1,000 stores. According to the chain, new restaurant openings that feature the digital order pick-up lane have demonstrated higher volumes and greater returns than a traditional Chipotle restaurant format.
Company executives have said that more than 80% of the 315 to 345 restaurants it expects to open nationwide in 2025 will include drive-thru lanes. Of the 202 sites that have come online year to date, 159 have a Chipotlane, Chipotle recently reported.
