GN Management has taken ownership of the Harborside 9 development site, closely following its inclusion in a $75 million transaction that also involved Harborside 8.
The Jersey City real estate firm announced acquiring full ownership, through affiliate and intercompany transfers, of the property Dec. 17, 2025. The deal included a transfer to GN Management from Panepinto Properties of its remaining Harborside 9 interests.
According to the new owner, the latest move clears the way for a 57-story mixed-use development to rise at the space along the Jersey City waterfront. Coldwell Banker’s Jim Pompa brokered the deal.
News of Panepinto Properties’ $75 million acquisition of Harborside 8 and 9 hit in the beginning of December. About a week later, Panepinto secured $348 million in construction financing for its efforts at Harborside 8.
GN Management said Harborside 9 has approval for 579 residential units along with 14,800 square feet of retail space and a 555-space parking garage. It will feature a 15% affordable housing component (87 units). Following minor site-plan revisions, the firm said it aims to begin development in 2027.
Together the Harborside Master Plan calls for more than 1,200 new apartments across the 4.2 acres of the dual-site project (Harborside 8 and 9).
Long-term vision
“This deal required patience, creativity and trust, and ultimately brought together highly respected groups who believe in the future of Jersey City,” Pompa said. “I’ve spent more than a decade focused on this market, and I’m committed to helping advance projects that strengthen neighborhoods and create long-term value. GN Management is exactly the kind of partner you want stepping into a site like this.”

GN Managment said Bravo Capital supported its acquisition of Harborside 9 along with Blue Mountain Capital co-founder and managing partner Vivek Jagadish. Castano Quigley Chermai LLC law firm represented GN in the acquisition as well as financing transaction.
“Jersey City remains one of the most resilient and opportunity-rich markets in the region,” said Onkar Singh, CEO of GN Management. “We are proud to invest here, and are confident Harborside 9 will reflect the community’s energy, diversity and momentum.”
According to its website, GN Management has several additional developments underway and upcoming in Jersey City. In 2023, the company ranked No. 31 on The Inc. 5000 Regionals: New Jersey companies.
