The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” universe is getting a new kind of spinoff — a restaurant opening by the daughter of one of the show’s stars.
Teresa Giudice, an original cast member from Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” announced on her Instagram page that her daughter, Gia Giudice, is partnering with family friend Maria Sausa to open a brand new restaurant in Westwood.
Gia Giudice, 24, is slated to open Il Vero this spring, offering classic Italian fare. The younger Giudice also posted the announcement on her Instagram page on Thursday morning.
“This venture means everything to me — not just as a business, but as a way to continue and honor my mom’s legacy of cooking, family, and bringing people together around the table,” Giudice said in the post. “From the food, to the vibe, to the décor, every detail has been so intentional. The team is incredible. The space is stunning. And trust me when I say — the food is next level.”
In her own Instagram post, the elder Giudice said she would be consulting for the restaurant.
This isn’t the family’s first venture in the restaurant world. Teresa Giudice previously helped run her sister, Melissa Gorga and brother-in-law Joe Gorga’s restaurant, Gorga’s Homemade Pasta & Pizza in East Hanover. The restaurant opened in May 2017 and closed its doors less than a year later in January 2018.
Let’s hope Teresa Giudice doesn’t flip any tables at her daughter’s new restaurant like she infamously did in the first season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” at LuNello in Cedar Grove.
Il Vero will join a crowded Westwood dining scene that features two restaurants from acclaimed chef Robbie Felice, Osteria Crescendo and Bar Mutz.
