Wawa is recalling four types of milk from its convenience stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware over concerns about a potential choking hazard.
According to a Feb. 18 announcement, the chain initiated a recall after discovering some bottles may contain “soft plastic pieces.”
Wawa said the following 16-ounce beverages made by the Wawa Beverage Co. have since been pulled from sale and disposed of by affected stores:

- UPC: 00726191015141

The recall does not extend to any other states or other Wawa branded products, according to the chain.
“While we have received no confirmed reports of any of the soft plastic pieces being present in these products, they are being recalled out of an abundance of caution. Additionally, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries due to consumption of these products,” Wawa said.
Customers who purchased the product are being advised to throw it out and request a refund by contacting Wawa customer service at 1-800-444-9292 or wawa.com/iframe/contact.
Last fall, Wawa voluntarily recalled some 16-ounce refrigerated milk and lemonade drinks from stores over concerns about a potential foreign object. The company did not elaborate on what the item was but said the affected products were made at its beverage facility in Media, Pa.
