Gannon’s late OT basket lifts Middletown South over Lawrence – Boys basketball recap

Freshman Ryan Gannon scored 30 points and knocked down the game-winning 3-pointer with six seconds remaining in overtime as fourth-seeded Middletown South defeated top-seeded Lawrence 64-62 in the semifinals of the Central Jersey, Group 3 Tournament in Lawrenceville.

Middletown South head coach Mike Iasparro applauded Gannon’s performance after the game. “Ryan is a special player. He’s the type of player that, when the ball is in his hands, you always feel like you have a chance to win the game.”
