Fast-casual chain Panda Express is celebrating the launch of its newest restaurant in New Jersey.
As part of its Aug. 29 grand opening at 50 International Drive in Flanders, the brand held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the local chamber of commerce. Additionally, it donated $1,000 to the Mount Olive Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in 1983, Panda Express is known for its menu of American Chinese cuisine. Along with signature dishes like orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp and broccoli beef, the chain offers family meals that can feed up to five people, as well as catering.
A family-owned, privately held company based in California, Panda Express has over 2,400 locations worldwide. Amid an ongoing expansion effort, the chain added 89 new restaurants last year. It expects to unveil more than 100 new sites this year.
With the grand opening in Flanders, the chain now has 26 outposts in New Jersey.
Thomas Ng is area coach of operations for Panda Express. “Our entire Panda team is grateful to serve the Flanders community by providing 40 new jobs and supporting local organizations through myriad fundraising opportunities,” he shared. “We hope to be a lasting part of the community and welcome all guests into our doors to try our American Chinese favorites and discover their own.”
At ITC Center Crossing South in Flanders, Panda Express joins a tenant mix that includes Walmart, PetSmart, TJ Maxx, Michael’s, Lowe’s, Chipotle, Five Below, Skechers, Applebee’s, Panera Bread, Famous Footwear, McDonald’s and HomeGoods.
Panda Express is open 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
