The basics:
- NJ office properties reach strong occupancy with new tenant deals
- Amedisys renews at Court Plaza in Hackensack
- Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi leases space at Class A complex
- Plymouth Rock Assurance signs for 11,262 square feet
Tenants signed on for new spaces in both South and North Jersey, according to Alfred Sanzari Enterprises and NAI Mertz.
In Hackensack, ASE announced two recent agreements at Court Plaza.
National in-home health care, hospice, palliative care and high-acuity care services provider Amedisys renewed for 12,988 square feet at the 21 Main St. property. ASE Manager of Leasing and Marketing Carolina Guiterrez represented the firm. Rob Wolfe of Prostar Commercial Real Estate assisted the tenant.
Amedisys boasts 500-plus locations across 37 states and Washington, D.C. The Louisiana-based provider has occupied its space at Court Plaza since 2014 for general, executive and administrative offices, ASE said. Amedisys lists 10 New Jersey offices on its website.
“Court Plaza continues to distinguish itself as a premier office destination by offering the convenience, amenities, and environment that today’s companies and their employees expect,” Gutierrez said.
Joining the roster
Meanwhile, property owner and manager ASE also signed a new tenant to Court Plaza in June. Under that deal, Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi PC will occupy 1,370 square feet in Hackensack. The personal injury law firm specializes in a range of practice areas, including motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, premises liability, workers’ compensation and more.

Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi also has offices in Fort Lee and New York City.
In a statement, Managing Partner Christopher DiGirolamo said Court Plaza marks an “exciting new chapter” for the firm. “As we expand our presence across northern New Jersey, we are excited to deepen our roots in Hackensack and continue to deliver the first-rate legal services that have defined our firm for more than 50 years,” he said.
NAI James E. Hanson Senior Vice President Andrew Somple, Vice President Jonathan Kristofich and Associate Jessica Curry represented Alfred Sanzari Enterprises in the transaction.
In a statement, ASE Vice President and Director of Leasing Chris DeLorenzo noted the persistent, nearly four decades-long draw of Court Plaza – located steps from the Bergen County Courthouse – to legal tenants.
An interconnected three-building Class A office complex, Court Plaza also offers accessibility. It is near Interstate 80; Routes 4, 17 and 46; the New Jersey Turnpike; and Garden State Parkway, as well as the NJ Transit Hackensack Bus Terminal and Essex Street Station. The property currently features a range of spaces for lease, ASE said, ranging from 960 square feet to 9,825 square feet. NAI Hanson handles leasing for the property.
501 Fellowship
In Burlington County, NAI Mertz and Modani Partners closed a lease for 11,262 square feet at 501 Fellowship Road.
Plymouth Rock Assurance will occupy the space at the Class A office building in Mount Laurel, according to a Sept. 4 announcement.
President Scott Mertz and Executive Vice President John Adderly serve as exclusive leasing agent for the property owned by Modani Properties. The firm said JLL also assisted Modani in completing this transaction.
According to Mertz, the deal brings the Mount Laurel property to 90% leased.
“This is an ideal location for Plymouth Rock as it provides them with a high-quality office space for its employees and a convenient location for its customers,” Adderly said. “They join a distinguished list of corporate tenants at the property including Cooper Health System, UBS Financial Services and Northwestern Financial.”
501 Fellowship Road offers proximity to Interstate 295, the Turnpike and Route 73. The three-story building includes a two-story glass atrium and second-floor balcony overlooking the lobby.
