Plant-based fast casual chain Greens and Grains has joined the food scene in Cherry Hill.
Following a Sept. 2 grand opening at Ellisburg Shopping Center, the 1,611-square-foot eatery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for dining in, order pick-up, delivery or catering.
Founded in 2014 by husband-wife team Lambros and Nicole Psounos, the brand’s fresh, all-natural offerings include grain bowls, flatbreads, wraps, smoothies and other meal-alternative options.
The Ventnor-based business began franchising a year later and now has 10 restaurants in Atlantic, Monmouth, Camden and Cape May counties, as well as a presence at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Within the next three to five years, Green and Grains hopes to add an additional 10 to 15 locations in the Mid-Atlantic region.
After Cherry Hill, the next opening is slated soon for Glassboro, the chain recently shared on social media.
‘Consistency is key’
Greens and Grains also recently teamed up with Edison-headquartered dairy-fee products pioneer Tofutti Brands Inc. to launch an exclusive plant-based tzatziki sauce.
Commenting on that partnership, Lambros Psounos said, “Now that we’re franchising and expanding, consistency is key. Our usage is increasing with every new location. Partnering with Tofutti to create a food-service-sized version of our tzatziki not only preserves the taste our customers love but also streamlines our operations.”

Ellisburg Shopping Center owner Federal Realty Investment Trust said the addition of Greens and Grains reflects its long-term strategy of offering “a thoughtfully curated mix of shopping, dining, and wellness experiences to serve the Cherry Hill community.”
At the Route 70 shopping hub, the tenant roster includes Whole Foods Market, an Ikea “Plan & order point with pick up” location, Five Below, Pet Supplies Plus, Qdoba, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Restoration Hardware Outlet, Bath & Body Works, Dunkin’, Honeygrow and T-Mobile.
According to Federal Realty Investment Trust, the owner of the Cherry Hill Greens and Grains also operates a site in Voorhees that opened two years ago.
