Fluffy Fluffy is bringing its Japanese-style soufflé pancakes and other savory delights to Central Jersey.
The all-day café is located at 1851 Route 27 in Edison. It serves handcrafted eggs benedict, Basque cheesecake, artisan drinks and its signature soufflé pancakes.
Since its founding seven years ago in Toronto, the franchise has grown into a social media sensation with over 40 locations across the U.S., U.K., Canada, China, France and Morocco.
The grand opening in Edison comes about seven months after the chain debuted its first grab & go outpost at Newport Centre in Jersey City. It also launched a global flagship in New York City featuring all-day breakfast and a cocktail bar.
Fluffy Fluffy Café is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
During an Oct. 10 ribbon-cutting ceremony, Edison Mayor Sam Joshi welcomed the chain. “This new café is part of our ongoing effort to revitalize the Route 27 corridor,” he said.
After the Edison Township Council officially designated the area for redevelopment three years ago, it adopted a formal redevelopment plan in July 2024 to improve parcels on highway that are blighted, underused or unsafe.
Joshi has stressed the need to focus on those areas from the Highland Park border to the Route 287 ramp, because he believes it has great potential for economic and quality-of-life improvements in a part of the township where infrastructure dates back to the 1940s.
