With the end of 2025 soon approaching, Benjamin Moore & Co. revealed its pick for Color of the Year 2026 – an espresso-charcoal hue called Silhouette.
In an Oct. 16 press release, the Montvale-based paint, color and coatings brand described its selection as an “elegant” color that is “reminiscent of tailored suiting.”
Andrea Magno, director of color marketing & design at Benjamin Moore, said, “The connection between fashion and interiors has always been a source of inspiration but this year in particular, we’ve noticed a renewed interest in suiting and classic silhouettes; the resurgence of timeless pieces; and the growing interest in the brown color family.”
“Silhouette embodies these qualities with its depth and luxurious blend of burnt umber and delicate charcoal undertones. Like a perfectly tailored suit, this hue has the versatility and softness to bring a space from expected to exceptional,” she said.

Benjamin Moore also announced a curated selection of hues it believes complements Silhouette as part of its 2026 color trends palette.
The company touted the collection as “artfully balanced selection of ethereally lifted and deeply grounded hues” that signal “a return to timeless classics and thoughtful attention to detail.”
The full lineup features: Silhouette AF-655, First Crush CSP-310, Raindance 1572, Batik AF-610, Southwest Pottery 048, Sherwood Tan 1054, Swiss Coffee OC-45 and Narragansett Green HC-157.
Benjamin Moore said it picks a Color of the Year by researching global trends in design, fashion and culture. Its color and design experts also analyze emerging moods and styles, then test and refine a shade that feels fresh, versatile and emotionally resonant.
The Color of the Year was Cinnamon Slate in 2025 and Blue Nova in 2024.
