Roseland-based Mandelbaum Barrett PC is expanding into Ocean County.
The full-service law firm recently celebrated the official launch of its new office in Lakewood. The location at 1600 Avenue of the States is the firm’s ninth overall and fifth in New Jersey.
In a statement, Mandelbaum Barrett said, “As our firm continues to grow across New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, we’re excited to deepen our presence in Lakewood and better serve the businesses, families and individuals throughout Central and South Jersey.”
Founded in 1930, Mandelbaum Barrett offers services in more than 30 practice areas, including corporate law, real estate, banking & finance, litigation, healthcare, employment, bankruptcy, intellectual property, family law and trusts & estates. Its headcount stands at 150 attorneys.
During an Oct. 14 ribbon-cutting ceremony in Lakewood, Mandelbaum Barrett Chairman Barry Mandelbaum said it was a “no brainer” for the firm to open its newest branch in “the fastest growing town in New Jersey,” hyperlocal news site Lakewood Alerts reported.
“This allows us to be more accessible to our clients, while strengthening relationships within the community,” he explained.
The opening comes about 10 months after Mandelbaum Barrett expanded into Connecticut with the addition of attorneys and staff from Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara LLC.
In addition to extending Mandelbaum Barrett’s reach into New England, the firm said that move also brings new resources to IBO’s clients. On both ends, it strengthens capabilities across several practice areas, such as real estate, trusts and estates, franchise law, litigation and personal injury. Two months before that, Mandelbaum Barrett established a presence in Bayonne by adding Hudson County-based Linda Hockstein as a partner in its real estate practice group.
Mandelbaum also has local offices in Edison and Elizabeth, as well as sites in New York City, Boca Raton and Denver.
