HBK announced Oct. 19 that the accounting and advisory group The Curchin Group has joined the Canfield, Ohio-based accounting firm. The combination was effective Oct. 16.
Curchin, led by Principals Lynn Conover and Carolyn Giunco Kvalo, serves mid-market clients across construction, credit unions, manufacturing, nonprofits, and other sectors. Beginning Nov. 16, the Curchin team will operate from HBK’s Holmdel office. HBK’s other New Jersey offices are in Cherry Hill and Paramus.
“Curchin exemplifies our approach to growth,” said Tom Angelo, CEO of HBK. “We add firms that share our values and strengthen our ability to serve clients more comprehensively. Curchin’s expertise and market presence are a natural fit for our vision, and we’re excited to welcome their team to HBK.”
The combination expands HBK’s expertise in the Northeast while deepening its capabilities in credit unions, construction, manufacturing, and nonprofits. Curchin’s clients gain access to HBK’s services that include wealth advisory through HBKS Wealth Advisors, technology solutions through Vertilocity and HBK’s specialized practice groups.
“Joining HBK gives us the resources to serve our clients even more comprehensively,” said Conover. “Our clients will continue working with the advisors they know and trust, with access to a significantly expanded platform of expertise and capabilities.”
Giunco Kvalo added, “We’re not changing who we are. We’re expanding what we can offer.”
The combination maintains Curchin’s existing client relationships and service approach while positioning the firm to deliver enhanced value through HBK’s broader platform and resources.
HBK serves mid-market clients across multiple industries and geographies. The firm has 27 offices across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Florida, Colorado, North Carolina, and India. HBK is supported by HBKS Wealth Advisors and Vertilocity (IT services and solutions).
