A warm September saw gaming revenue rise this September compared with 2025.
The New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement reported that casinos, racetracks and their partners earned $579.6 million for September 2026, reflecting an increase of 2.8% from 2025.
Year-to-date total gaming revenue was $5.39 billion, according to the latest DGE report posted Oct. 19, reflecting 5.1% growth when compared with $5.13 billion reported for the prior year-to-date period.
Once again, internet gaming is the only outlet that sustained year-over-year growth, hitting double digits again while both brick-and-mortar gaming and sports betting saw a decrease.

DGE Chairman James Plousis said internet gaming still shows strength, exceeding over $2.4 billion in the first nine months and setting a record for hitting that figure faster than any other year. He also believes that internet gaming will continue to exceed in-person casino win during Atlantic City’s shoulder season.
“September’s increase in slot win suggests that visitation maintained its momentum, even though in-person casino win fell short compared to the same month last year due to players experiencing better luck at table games,” Plousis said. “Atlantic City’s ability to maintain visitation is important to ease pressure on operators from record high costs and expenses.”
Borgata once again had the most revenue for September, but did still come out in the negative for its year-over-year percentage. Meanwhile, Ocean Casino Resort came back in the green.
- Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa: $55.6 million -11.3%
- Ocean Casino Resort: $42.6 million +7.6%
- Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City: $43.4 million -4.3%
